On 01.03.2023 in Lomnickom saddle there was an attempt to beat the speed record in Speed Ski, which is at the level of 174.57 km/hr. Since March 2022, the holder is Michal Bekes, with whom we are conducting research cooperation to optimize the individual components of his equipment.
Our goal is to improve the drag parameters during airflow by means of experimental procedures and numerical flow simulations.
Despite the fact that the record could not be broken, the winner among 6 competitors was again Michal Bekes with a speed of 171.44 km/hr.
Congratulations and we are already looking forward to the S1 World Cup in France, where Michal will also use our aerodynamically optimized components and will try to break the world record of 252.454 km/hr.
We are currently testing the rear spoiler behind the ski, which was created thanks to realistic scanning of the lower part of the racer’s leg, numerical airflow simulations, CAD modelling and 3D printing.
