Mitsubishi Electric provided free of charge to SjF TUKE the latest type of innovative collaborative robot RV-5AS-D, which will be used at the Institute of Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics and Manufacturing Technology both for practical teaching of students and for verifying its abilities through solved research tasks.
The unique possibilities of programming and control of this collaborative robot (also through a panel, which is located directly on the robotic arm) together with the working range of 900 mm, load capacity of 5 kg and extreme positioning accuracy of ± 0.03 mm predetermine for simultaneous operation with humans.
The control of a collaborative robot is so intuitive that even a non-robotics expert can handle the basic programming activities.
This opens up space for advanced solutions and practical implementation of bachelor’s and master’s theses of full-time and part-time students.
Acknowledgments belong to the Slovak branch of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V, represented by Ivan Blaži and Ing. Peter Horos.
We thank you!
