On September 25, 2026, the official opening of the new UFI HYDROGEN center took place in Trento, Italy. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering participated in this major international event, successfully showcasing its achievements through its unique hydrogen-powered car, the MH2. The faculty and the Department of Power Engineering were represented at the venue by Prof. Ing. Tomáš Brestovič, PhD., Ing. Filip Duda, PhD., and Ing. Peter Milenovský.

Our faculty's participation in the opening of the UFI HYDROGEN center confirms that Slovak engineering and research in green technologies belong at the technological forefront with global potential. The event provided an excellent platform to present advanced hydrogen technologies developed long-term at our faculty.
