The Mayor of the City of Bardejov awarded the Mayor’s Award to distinguished individuals of public life and socio-cultural organizations that have made significant contributions to promoting the good name of the city both domestically and abroad. 

Among the awardees was also the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Košice,
Dr. h. c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, DrSc., MPH., Academician of UčSS,
who received this exceptional award for outstanding achievements in the field of science, for the design and implementation of unique projects recognized internationally, as well as for his long-standing pedagogical work. His work is proof that the combination of expertise, innovation, and a human-centered approach can transform not only the academic environment but also society as a whole.
