On September 18, 2026, a solemn event took place at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice (SjF TUKE) – the Golden and Diamond Graduation Ceremony. In a festive atmosphere, our loyal alumni received their commemorative diplomas from the hands of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. h. c. mult. prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, DrSc., MPH, marking 50 and 60 years since completing their studies at the former SF VŠT (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, College of Technology).

This unforgettable academic ceremony once again confirmed the strong bond between our Alma Mater and those who once helped build its excellent reputation.

The event was accompanied by a nostalgic atmosphere, the joy of reuniting after decades, and admiration for the modernization of the faculty. The alumni did not hide their enthusiasm and sent us their direct impressions:

• “It was a grand, fabulous event... The Dean found kind words for every single alumnus.”
• “A month ago, my grandson had his graduation, and my son-in-law noted that this Golden Graduation was even better and more beautiful...”
• “It was very dignified and beautiful... dynamic, it's just a pity that the program was quite packed and continuous, leaving little time for ongoing chats with classmates...”
• “The Dean and the professors were remarkably accommodating to those with mobility difficulties – as soon as I stepped out of the bench, the Dean walked down from the stage toward me, so I didn't have to climb any stairs, and after just ten steps, he presented me with the Golden Diploma... It was exquisite, even more beautiful than our first graduation.”

Written Expression of Gratitude to the Faculty Leadership

The former students expressed their deep gratitude through an official Written Letter of Thanks.

In their statements, they highlighted the personal approach of the Dean, the exemplary organization under the direction of Vice-Dean prof. Ing. Ján Kráľ, PhD., the pro-active approach of Marketing Manager Mgr. Anna Hegedüšová, as well as the highly responsive contact with alumni during the organizational preparations and following the celebratory event. They wished the faculty much success in educating future generations of top experts for Slovak industry and science.
