On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Peter Kmec, accompanied by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, Ján Hrinka, visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice with a protocol.

They were received at the faculty by Dean Jozef Živčák. The subject of the official meeting was the current project policy and the presentation of the results of scientific and research activities that represent the Technical University of Košice and its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at home and abroad.

A significant part of the meeting was devoted to a discussion about the future of new technologies, which the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE is actively engaged in on a European and global scale.
