Technical System Security (TSS)

The study programme Technical System Security offers an extensive knowledge of profiling engineering areas, risk assessment of machines and processes, fire and explosion prevention, crisis management and safety management systems. The pillars of this study programme are safety – maintenance – quality – continuity, the basis of which is the so-called “Risk Based Thinking” (RBT). A successful graduation of this engineering study programme creates a possibility of deepening ones knowledge in specific areas by further study at the Doctoral level, primarily through the Quality and Safety study programme.

References
Studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was a matter of chance at first. Nevertheless, I am grateful for it. The study programme of BTS and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is still a contemporary and topical issue with good applicability on the labour market. The teachers at the Department of Safety and Production Quality are experts in their field, with whom I continue to work closely.

During my studies in the Technical System Security programme, I learned the principles of risk management, especially in relation to the safety of machinery and equipment. In practice, I have found that the same principles apply to risk management of any activity and are the basis of my day-to-day business decisions.
